We had plans to go to Eyre square this weekend. Our plans got ruined by another storm, sadly. We did manage to have some fun in Salthill. The wind was incredibly strong! It was a little difficult to walk.
We went to the aquarium! It was really fun to see all the different fish and other sea creatures. The aquarium itself was surprisingly large!
After our visit to the aquarium we went to the Seapoint Leisure arcade. We originally thought it was a casino, but it had a bunch of arcade game. We just wanted to just quickly check it out but ended up playing a lot games. It was surprisingly fun! We'll definitely go back if we have the time.
Each game costed 1 euro, and you got tickets from games. The amount of tickets depended on how well you played. At the end, you feed your tickets to a machine, which tells you how many tickets you've got. Then you can exchange it for prizes. We got a total of 90 tickets, and got ourselves some poker chip keychains.
We've had an absolute blast here in Galway. I cannot believe we're leaving in under a week! It's a bit sad. A part of me still can't believe that I'm actually here! I've been planning this trip for so long, and suddenly it's almost over? Even though we haven't gone on any big trips during our stay (some day-trips like going to the Cliffs of Moher) but in my opinion we're getting a lot out of our stay by just experiencing the day-to-day life downtown. Also the weather this weekend doesn't suit long trips, so it's better this way anyway.
