Our First Day at Work

This morning we woke up at 8 AM. Waking up at that time was great, since I'm used to waking up around 6 – 7 AM for school. We left the house and headed off to the bus stop, that was literally 300 meters away. The 401 bus arrived shortly after. It was really easy to keep track of when to get off the bus, as there was a handy screen with the upcoming stops. The bus ride took 24 minutes, and we walked 900 meters to Proactive.
We arrived at the workplace a bit before 10 AM. It was quite easy to find with Google Maps as our guide. We walked up some stairs and rang the bell at the reception. We met James, who showed us around the office and introduced us to everyone. The people there were just so lovely. Everyone was very welcoming and happy to help.
Our work days are from 10 AM to 5 PM everyday, which is perfectly fine with me. I get to sleep in, which I love. Even though we're home a bit later, it's fine. It's not like we're desperate to do something every evening. And even if we were to stay out a bit later, we don't have to get up that early so it's fine. This, to me, is the perfect schedule.
We didn't do a lot of work yet. The entire day today we sketched compositions for a prospectus for GMIT. We researched what other prospectuses look like and took inspiration from them. Aside from that, we looked over Proactive's website to learn more about the business and what they do.
Our lunch break was from 1 PM to 2 PM (An hour long lunch break? Nice.) We went to a small cafe-type restaurant, which was quite literally next to Proactive. There are apparently a lot of different places to eat nearby, so we have no shortage of food.
So to sum it up: Our first day went smoothly. We didn't miss our buses, we got off at the right stop every time, and I'm looking forward to working at Proactive for the next 3 weeks!
